The Worship of a Burning Heart

It is the presence of God that changes people—not our services.

“One thing I have asked from the  Lord, that I shall seek: That I may dwell in the house of the  Lord  all the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord and to meditate in His temple,” (Psalm 27:4 NASB).

Even in all of David’s failure, he resolved his life to one thing; just one thing. I mean, he was a king! He just asked to dwell in the house of the Lord, gaze upon the beauty of the Lord, and meditate in His temple for the rest of his life.

When we sit in an atmosphere of pure authentic worship, not mere musical entertainment, we are transformed and begin to hunger for more. He is drawing us into deeper proximity to His heart. He longs to take us into a place where we’re not just looking to gaze upon the next big thing; the next thing that we want, or something that will feed our flesh. He’s training us, our generation, to learn how to focus our hearts on things of His Kingdom and focus on Him like we never have before! Right now, the Lord of Glory has released a spiritual desire to catch us up into a place where we will begin to long for that one thing that we never knew existed.

That One Thing

This man, King David, before Messiah was sent, gained the revelation, that in all of his setbacks and in all of his successes, it boiled down to setting his life focus on “one thing” (Psalm 27:4). This one thing consumed all else. All he wanted was to gaze on the beauty of THE LORD all the days of his life. He longed and desired to build a dwelling place for the Lord in the land of Israel. He was ruined with the holy desire and insatiable hunger to solely look at the beauty of the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. He knew there was a King that was greater! He knew there was a Lord that far exceeded his own lordship. David wanted to give the rightful King the throne above His own.

In Psalm 110:1 he declares, “The LORD said to my lord: ‘Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.’” In Matthew 22:44, Jesus quotes this verse in a discussion with the Pharisees in order to prove that the Messiah is more than David’s son; He is David’s Lord and David knew this deeply.

I believe with everything in me that there is a depth of the holy, beauty, fire, and of holy hunger in which David longed for, that is for available to us. David could only prophesy of what we have access to in Christ today. The Father wants close proximity to mankind. He wants closeness in a way that we can’t imagine. I believe our level of pursuit of this closer proximity to Him actually determines the level of our tangible intimacy with Him.

If we’re not willing to come close, then we will always be standing on the sidelines looking at others who are coming close and saying, “Why not me?” He did everything that we ever needed Him to do when He came down and gave His life for us. He died, resurrected, ascended and gave us full access to be filled with His own Holy Spirit so that we could to come close. That part of the work is finished. We just have to hunger and drawn near to Him. We must ask for more than we have at this present moment, every day.

You Don’t Need An Instrument to Worship-You are One!

David had 4,288 musicians and singers set up day and night, playing songs in intercession and worship in a tent (See 1 Chronicles 16). This non-stop atmosphere of worship must have been powerful. Even though it was his personal desire, David stored up money and materials his whole life for his son, Solomon to build the temple because God told David that it would be his son who built it (2 Samuel 7; 1 Chronicles 28:3). I have personally longed for the same things as David but I understand legacy! I want to build a place for the Lord. I want to gaze on His beauty all the days of my life! I want to host His presence day and night in my city. I want to see Him King and Lord over my city, state, nation, and world! I believe this is His desire also and just as David was able to host Him in a tent, so can we—but in a much closer way! 1 Corinthians 6:19 says, “Do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” We have the glory of God ever-present in and with us in a way that King David merely dreamed of. The Spirit and the presence of God Himself has made us His temple. When He poured out His Spirit in Acts 2, He put Himself into us so that we could be in non-stop communion with Him. We don’t have to have an instrument to worship, because we are one.

We Are the Sound!

I believe God wants us to know that we are the sound! You and I are His instruments of worship!  If you haven’t experienced encountering Him outside of church or a service in which someone else is leading you into worship, just ask, and get ready! Surrender and entering into a depth that we’ve not previously experienced calls into learning how to be okay with awkward, silent moments.

As soon as we get comfortable, He is going to make us uncomfortable because there’s more. There is a higher place of knowing Him that we are going after. As soon as we think we’ve got it figured out, He is going to show us that we don’t, because He wants us to get into that place of lifelong increasing revelation of Him. We were created to be in constant communion with Him; now and for eternity. This means we get to learn more of His unsearchable beauty forever. The angels that are seated around the throne are constantly saying, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God almighty, who was and is and is to come” as they look upon His beauty because they are in a place of revelation all of the time (Revelation 4:8). They never get bored and life around the throne never gets mundane for them. I am amazed that He created us to know Him and gain even greater revelation of Himself than the angels in heaven (1 Peter 1:12; 1 Corinthians 6:3).

In order for us to be able to ascend into that place of knowing God in a greater way, than even the burning ones around the throne of God-we have to begin to hunger for more than a mental understanding of the written word of God.  The spiritual revelation of His heart, mind, and character are essential elements to knowing Him personally.  Prayer, scripture study, worship, being still and listening for His voice are important disciplines in the life of the follower of Christ.  All of this develops depth into sustainable spiritual growth. The angelic hosts of heaven know His amazing holiness is real and unsearchable. We too must know that there is more than cerebral knowledge of Him. The experience of knowing Him spirit to Spirit is extremely important. He’s given us the ability to know His worth and power contained in “The Word” who is the person of Christ.

Silencing Distractions Could Take us into Highest Place of Wonder

Some of the most powerful encounters I have ever had with the Lord happened when I forced my mind to be still. I turned off all of the electronics, and yes even the music, and listened for His whisper. It takes a little while to learn to be still in your mind and tune your ears to His voice in this crazy world, but it’s a discipline of one who hungers. Prayer both in tongues and in the your native language is powerful and should be a practiced daily! I encourage you like the Apostle Paul to pray in the heavenly language of intercession (tongues) often and for, at the very least, 20 minutes a day when you are starting out. I also encourage you to learn the discipline of being still and listening to His reply.

Truthfully, as we learn the discipline of living life in His presence and in prayer, we learn how to abide in Him and He in us (John 15). We will begin bearing Spiritual fruit in abundance. We will be able to sit in a room with absolute silence or in a room with crazy chaos and be with Him. We can learn such a lifestyle of proximity to Him that we can be in a place where others are leading a worship gathering and we are on the floor helping bring people closer to Him without touching a stage or microphone. We will learn how to abide in our heavenly seat that Paul talks about in Ephesians 6:2, “we are seated with Him in heavenly places,” and we become fully active in our HOLY spiritual existence.

As we live this way, we are made free of being dependent on another person to take us into His presence. We just abide there. The supernatural grace of God is falling upon His people right now in such a way that we are able explore places of His heart  that no other generation has known. He has given us access, but He has also called us to lay down the distractions and cares of the world on a daily basis in order to enter into this place of deep relationship. Many have been so frustrated with their life and relationship with God recently. This is because He has been allowing the rubbing, pressing, and stripping away of temporal pleasures to prepare us for the deeper knowledge of Him. We must know that there is a greater responsibility to carry out the plans of His heart as we begin to understand the deeper revelation that He’s giving to us.

“The Lord our God has secrets to no one. We are not accountable for them, but we and our children are accountable forever for all that he has revealed to us, so that we may obey all the terms of these instructions.” (Deut. 29:29, NLT)

“When someone is given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted  with much, even more will be required.” (Luke 12:48, NLT)

Is Your Heart Burning?

And no, I am not talking about the kind of heart-burn that is caused by what you ate for dinner! That’s acid reflux. 🤣

The kind of burning I’m talking about causes true pleasure in knowing the Lord personally and knowing that He knows you inside and out!
The kind of burning that I’m talking about is the feeling of passion and being alive in the depths of your being. I am speaking of Christian living that is more than going to church once a week and putting up with the person in the seat next to you! Our Father in heaven LONGS for us to live with a heart that is alive and on fire for Him!

Did you know that the Aramaic word for love literally means, to burn with passion? For some this is a new concept, but you can feel the desire stirring up in you to know Him this way and some of you have found yourself burning with passion, now more than ever before, to get closer to the One called Love!

Either way, you’re in good company! This burning heart phenomenon was experienced by Jesus’ downtrodden disciples when Jesus appeared to them in His resurrected body:

Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Him; and He vanished from their sight. They said to one another, ‘Were not our hearts burning within us while He was speaking to us on the road, while He was explaining the Scriptures to us?’ And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found gathered together the eleven and those who were with them. Luke 24:31-33

Hopelessness and Despair Brings Hope
The disciples on the road to Emmaus were broken and hurt. They didn’t understand why Jesus had died. We can practically hear their thoughts as we read the story in Luke 24. They wonder, We thought Jesus was our Messiah, and now He’s gone—dead. What do we do now? There’s nowhere to go. So, they give up and go back to their old lives as fishermen. But then, there He is—Jesus in His glorified body. Yet, they have no idea who He is. He asks them what is bothering them, and in amazement, as though this stranger lives under a rock, they ask, “Do you not know?”
He continues to talk with the brokenhearted disciples for a while, explaining the importance of the crucifixion; eventually, He disappears. The disciples look at one another and recognize that deep, inner burning in their hearts, and they say, “Oh! It was Him! It was Him!”

How did they know?

Their hearts burned within them. All of a sudden, they experienced the fellowship of the burning hearts. And in that place of intimacy and revelation, even in their brokenness, Jesus came. Jesus showed up in His glorified body, but because of their overwhelming emotions, they didn’t recognize Him. They were focused on earthly things instead of heavenly things. Instead of rebuking them, Jesus came into their brokenness and encountered them in His glorified body, causing their hearts to burn. Suddenly, they began to remember what it was like to be with Him. They knew it had to be Him.

It Had to Be Him!
The disciples knew they had been with Him because of the physical, emotional, and spiritual burning that continued even after He vanished. This burning heart phenomenon also happened to the prophets of old, like David, Moses, Isaiah, and Jeremiah. David’s heart burned with passion for the Lord (Ps. 39:3). He desired one thing and was called a “man after God’s own heart” (Ps. 27:4; 1 Sam. 13:4, Acts 13:22). Moses talked to God face to face and breath to breath (Ex. 33:11, 18; Num. 12:8). Isaiah’s fiery encounter in Isaiah 6 with the coal to his lips transformed him from fearful and timid to bold and fearless (Is. 6:6-13). Jeremiah had fire in his heart and bones that compelled him to be true to his commission, even if it meant death (Jer. 20:9). But to these disciples, this was an awakening to the deep inner witness and recognition of the One with whom they were walking—the Christ.

What To Do With The Burning
Many find themselves feeling like they are of a few with this burning on the inside, not knowing what to do with it. I encourage you to keep on praying, worshipping, and intimately encountering the Lord! Pray about and find a local chuch expression of other burning ones with whom you can fellowship. The Lord will connect you with other burning hearts!

So many of us are going through difficult times on the earth right now and our burdens appear to be more than we can bear. Now more than ever, seeing beyond the situation is necessary to endure whatever we are going through. Jesus was such an amazing example to follow.

He went through severe mental and physical torment.

They attacked His identity as the Son of God and King of the Jews by placing a crown of thorns on His head. He was taunted, spit on, His beard was pulled out of His face, beaten until He was so disfigured that He didn’t even look like a human, and nailed to a cross. How was He able go through that?

The moment I wrote that paragraph,

I immediately had a vision of Jesus on the way to Golgotha.

I was seeing through His eyes and experienced some of what He experienced.

As I was weeping, I did my best to type what I saw, heard and felt:

“I can’t see.
Blood is running in my eyes.
My eyes are burning.
I try to open them.
They are swollen shut.
My head hurts so bad.
I am so tired, I can hardly move.
I’m trying to drag this cross.
My body is burning from the beatings.
It is getting harder to breathe.
I have lost so much blood.
My heart is failing.
I am so cold,
But I am sweating.
I hear laughing.
I hear yelling.
I hear screaming.
I hear cursing.
I hear mother wailing.
Oh, Father, they know not what they do.
Father, are you there?
Where are you?
Why can’t I hear you?
I feel so alone.
Keep moving.
I am almost there.
It is almost finished.
Soon, my Bride will be one with Me!
Oh, the joy!
I would do anything to be with her!”

Hebrews 12:2 tells us how He endured the cross—by the joy set before Him.

What was the joy set before Him?

The joy of us being one with Him, He being seated at the right hand of the throne of God, returning to the Father. The joy of bringing deliverance, healing, freedom, and good news to the human race. The joy of conquering death, hell and the grave for the love of His life; His bride. The joy of giving Himself for us to have that position—that seat of victory with Him at the right hand of the throne of God.

Tammie Southerland passionately expresses this point in time, saying, “In this painful, yet joyful moment when Jesus sees our faces, He is in the agonizing climax of the crucifixion! In that moment when He gives His life, His longing to rescue her is finished!” She exclaims, “Each of us individually must hear these words resounding in our hearts, ‘You are His joy! It was your face He saw! You were the joy set before Him when He endured the cross!’”

She declared recently in a Facebook post:

I hear the Lord saying, “Come Up Here!”

“Come up here and see what I see! Rise above the junk and see from my perspective!”
Ephesians 2:6 says that we have been given a seat with Him in heavenly places!
We were not created or given salvation to continue to wallow in a mess or even to fight our battles in the flesh! We have been called to ascend and agree with Jesus as HE prays for us from the victorious, heavenly perspective!

Rise up and pray!

Not from the place of defeat or struggle, but from the heavenly place of victory!!
He has invited us to respond!

Say this: “Father God! I submit my wrestle with the things of this world and rise Higher! I take my seat with Jesus! Help me to see what you see and pray what you are praying! I receive peace and a new perspective! I receive victory in You!
AMEN!”

Today, after almost two weeks of rain and “Historical Flooding”, the sun is shining in South Carolina! However, they tell us that the dams are continuing to break and that the flooding is not over. Water from the mountains is still trickling down, and more barriers are expected to break.

But I hear the Lord saying,SC you are here for a reason

“Barriers have been broken, and they are correct in saying more barriers will break! This flood was only the beginning! Barriers made by man’s hands will no longer stand against what I am doing in MY South Carolina!
From the mountains to the sea, they will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!
Out of the wilderness places, I am flushing out my beloved ones; they are coming with fire!
Even as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be with you. The flood brought cleansing and was a promise fulfilled….Many have been crying out for My reign!

Noah cried out (warned) the people and for 100 years he prepared a place of refuge. The rain came, but after the rain the sun came, and with it the rainbow, the sign of the covenant!
The rain fell, and the flood came, but I tell you this: a company of Ark Builders is yet arising! They are my sons and daughters who are proclaiming and preparing for My return!”

“So, you too, when you see all these things, recognize that He is near, right at the door.” (Matthew 24:33)

The Water A Sign & Covenant

fire rainbow

“This water was a sign of things to come!

NOW I am making a covenant with you, South Carolina and with North Carolina!
I am making a covenant with you! I am making a covenant with this generation, and it comes with a promise! It’s a promise of My return!

“Lift up your heads, O gates, And lift them up, O ancient doors, That the King of glory may come in!” Psalm 24:9

My Bride will arise without spot or blemish, and every knee will bow and every tongue proclaim the Name above all Names, Jesus!

Carolina will be a voice to the nations! She will not be satisfied with lukewarm Christianity. She will be pure and will passionately pursue my heart!
She is washed with water, but soon she will be baptized with Holy Spirit and Holy fire! (Matthew 3:11).

You have seen the promised rain, but I am about to release Holy Fire!
My promise is true! As She unites, She will no longer be called ‘A State of Division,’ but She will be called ‘A State of Intercession.’ She will no longer be known as the state that pioneered oppression and division, but one who will pioneer freedom!
She will be a state flooded with my glory and who burns with desire for Me! As hearts become unified with each other and with Mine, My glory will fill her dry ravines.
Just as the ‘bow…in the clouds’ was a sign of a covenant promise, the time will come when I will fulfill my promise to return in my glory in the clouds (Genesis 9:13, Mark 13:26). My weighty glory and mantle of this promise is upon you, South Carolina!

Watch and wait, for you, my beloved Carolina, will be a voice to the Nation! I will release my fire after the rain! This rain was just a sign of my coming.

The fire of My passion and My glory will burn hotter in my Bride; for I will blow on her with the winds of My Spirit!”

Convergence is Coming e0a77abd-49d3-40e3-ae9e-07c3ad413bf5

“A convergence is coming from east to west! You will be called a ‘House of Prayer’, an ‘Altar of Fire’ and you will be a home to many of my people from different regions.”

As the world grows cold, my people in the Carolinas will burn. As the world rages around you in the coming days, you will host my presence and my peace. You will not be known for the flood, but for the fire!

Therefore, be alert! My messengers are emerging like a flood in this hour! They are bold as lions but meek as lambs. They are full of compassion and love but execute my justice, for they know they are mine! They will speak the truth with the very tone of My voice! Do not reject them, for if you do you, will again become a reproach. They will break the man made religious and political barriers, smash the idols of impurity, and restore My Heart into this land! He who has an ear let him hear! I am mantling you:

In doing these things, you will no longer be a reproach or a barren land.
Break forth in song oh Carolina. SING, for the barriers are breaking! The night is over, the SON is shining! Let the fire fall and sing! I make a holy covenant with you!”

“Shout for joy, O barren one, you who have borne no child; Break forth into joyful shouting and cry aloud, you who have not travailed; For the sons of the desolate one will be more numerous Than the sons of the married woman,” says the LORD. “Enlarge the place of your tent; Stretch out the curtains of your dwellings, spare not; Lengthen your cords And strengthen your pegs.…”
Isaiah 51:1,2

Over the past few weeks I have been hearing the longing of the heart of  Bridegroom Jesus calling to His beloved Bride to be “made ready”(Revelation 19:7). He is longing for her to come back to a place of “first love”  passion  for Him above all else! (Rev. 2:4)

In a time of prayer on August 12th, 2015 I began to experience the awakening and passionate voice of the Lord Jesus speak the words written below.

And He said to me “Write the message my beloved and release this longing of Mine! Make ready my Bride; call her to AWAKEN to me in this hour”

This message is an out-cry to the church and to those whom He is raising up to be end time voices in this hour!

Who Has Bewitched You?

I hear Him saying:

“I am the rewarder of those who diligently seek me (Heb. 11:6)! Return to me ( Joel 2:12) and seek Me with all of your heart and you will find me.

They say their churches are for the seekers but I say that they are houses of lukewarmness-a mixture of hot and cold.  The hot gets put out and the cold just barely warmed.  The fire of the longing ones is doused.  Lamps “without oil” are sold to the cold hearted.( See Matthew 25)   I will spew them out of my mouth in the time of judgement (Rev. 3:16). They are “white washed tombs with dead man’s bones inside”( Matt. 23:27). They are seeking but finding something other than Me. I will not share my glory with another says the Lord.

Oh were are the real seekers?

Where are love-sick-longing ones?

Oh were have you gone?

Oh How I long to gather you like a hen gathers her chicks under her wings” (Matthew 2:37)

Why did you go away on your own way?

Why do you reject my messengers?

Why do you look in all other places?

Who has bewitched you My Beloved? Have you not heard?  Have you not seen? Do you not know?

You are my beloved and I long for you!

I AM  here!

I AM in secret in the secret place (Psalm 91)!

COME!  I AM calling! COME!

Return to the deeds you did at first (Rev. 2:5).

Return to your first Love (Rev. 2:4)! Be ye Holy as I am HOLY (1 Peter 1:16)!

Come away with me while there is yet time! Come! (Song of Solomon 2:10)

A Greater Glory for Laid-Down Lovers

Then I heard The Lord proclaiming!

There are some that have laid it all down in this hour.  They long to be lovers laying  down everything and desiring  to be hidden in MY heart.

I am revealing to them the mysteries of heaven– the jewels of heavenly mysteries that will shake the earth. To you I say: “Pull back and write the very pulse of my heart.  For eye has not seen and ear has not heard the things  that I have in store for those who love Me!

Oh my beloved ones, some of you look for me but do not find me.  You are looking in all the wrong places.   I am in the secret places.  I speaking through the mouths of the unknown ones. Through the ones who hide themselves in my heart and under my wings ( Psalm 91)! I am trumpeting the very beat of my heart from their lungs! Do you hear them?

Most of them  are not on national stages, they are still  hidden like jewels in the cleft of the rocks! The are voices crying out in the wilderness places. But I tell you this -the seasons are changing! They are the ones whom I will use to lead a generation into the promise of My coming.

It is time!  They are being revealed, but be aware all ye peoples, they will follow the very whisper of my voice, yes even the whistle the wind of my Spirit.  They will only go where I tell them to go and say what I say.  They will quickly pull back in the seasons that seem to bring them the most fame. They will arise in times that may seem to cause the most upset not caring about their reputation.  They will not take my Glory says the Lord- for they know there is a greater glory in store! I have put a trumpet to their mouths!

Do you hear them? He who has an ear let him hear what the Spirit says!

They are obedient to deliver the Word in power, in demonstration, but this is merely their adornment says the Lord- for they are lovers of my presence and they are chasers of My Face.

Signs and wonders they do not chase, but they chase after me!

Know this therefore, signs and wonders will chase them down!  Fame is not their desire. They want to take My Name as their own and worldy fame will not phase them! They only  want My presence as their reward and MY Name to be of great fame!

The seasons are changing!

The seasons are changing  and like a whirl wind I AM coming quickly.

In the night- like a thief in the night (1 Thes. 1:2).   I am coming and I will draw all men unto myself.

Come into my chambers, says the Lord.

Who will come?

I am calling you into my chambers! I am calling! COME says the Lord- come to me!

Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done.  Revelation 2:12.

We are in an hour now that the seeker friendly light shows,  hyper grace messages, and social media superstars  will come to a close. They will fade into the pages of history.  All fame and glory belongs to the Lord!

To whom much is given much is required! In this hour we must die to the claim to personal fame and  take HIS Name, but not HIS Glory!   There is a greater glory! The Lamb is coming and His reward is with Him!

Greater! Greater Glory belongs to the Bride than this world can ever give!

Arise out of the caves you lovers! You longing ones, it is time to sound the trumpet!  But make it your hearts cry to say  “May the Lamb receive the reward of His suffering”

Come Lord Jesus! (Rev. 22:17)

In 2008, I had a dream that has been profoundly prophetic to me! The Lord has spoken to me through it, in the same way, that a  mystery movie would unveil a plot within a plot–one layer at a time. It was a dream of the life and calling of a pioneer. It revealed the process of this ’emerging move of God’ and the final outpouring! The dream speaks to this generation of pioneers who have left lush “church field” for the adventure of  pioneering in the wilderness!

The Dream: The Ancient River in the Wilderness

There was a crowd of people standing in rows in a lush green field. I was standing on the outer edge. [ As one would be seated on the outer seat of a row of chairs. But there were not any chairs.] A well-dressed  pastor was addressing the crowd from the front. He was speaking, but at the same time his attention kept being drawn over to me. Now, I was very close to him and looked to him for much guidance. He was not just a leader in my life he was a friend.
As he preached, he would look at me and nod his head as if he were approving of my position. At the first glance, he was in approval of me standing at the edge of the crowd. At the same time, he was a bit concerned as he noticed that my attention was drifting away to the wooded area that bordered the field.

He continued to teach even as he was noticing me, and I continued to listen to him even as I was being drawn to the wooded area. I stepped away from the crowd and walked over to the edge. I noticed a rather wide and rather deep river bed. I looked back over to the pastor, and he again nodded his head at me in approval and kept addressing the crowd with teaching. I looked down at the edge of the wooded area, and there was an opening to a dry river bed.  The mouth of it was where I was standing.

The First Stone

At my feet was a five-sided stepping stone just slightly covered with dirt. I felt the incredible presence of my Father with-in that moment. I began to feel childlike and longed to explore this river bed and discover the mystery of such a phenomenon! It was an ancient place where water previous ran wild. Why was it now dry? How, wonderful it must have been when it was rushing living water! I looked and in my hand was a brush to clean off the stepping stone. I had knowledge that the Father put the brush in my hand. I knelt down and brushed off the stone.

The Second Stone and The Woman

I was quickly drawn to another stone just a foot in front of the one I was standing on. As I was about to kneel down to clean off the next stone, a woman from the crowd ran over and yelled in my ear “get back to the others– you rebellious woman!” I looked back and caught eyes with the pastor, and he again nodded his head as if to say “I see you–it’s OK.” The woman ran back to the front row. My attention was back on the stone, and I was overwhelmed with joy as The Father gave me direction and another tool, a stronger bristled brush, to uncover the next stone.

It was as if I was playing with my Father in the forest, and the work was effortless–and it was adventurous! I continued walking on my knees peering at the newly uncovered stone and then, looked ahead to see the next one in which The Father would lead me.

Suddenly, that annoying woman startled me again. I did not hear her at first for I was caught up in the presence of The Father, but I felt her disapproving presence and turned my head. I realized she was trying to yell in my ear again, but I could only slightly hear her. I looked back at the pastor in the field, and he again nodded his head at me, but this time looked as if he wanted to be in the wilderness as well. But he thought it was his duty to stay in the field. I knew he did not want me to go away from the comfort of the grassy meadow, but at the same time he knew that this was where the Father was leading me. The woman retreated to the field and began to speak frantically to the pastor.

The Third Stone

Again I was overcome with joy and the compelling presence of The Father wisped my attention away to follow Him on deeper still. As I followed, I noticed that the walls of the river bed were getting higher the further we went. I looked and below my feet was the very edge of a third stepping stone. In my hand was the chisel of an archaeologist and in the other was a smaller brush. I excitedly began to uncover this stone as would an archaeologist who stumbled upon an ancient artifact! In all of this the work was not work at all, it was like going on an adventure with My Daddy. The third stone was not buried very deep under the hard red clay; I had it cleaned off in no time.
I felt an annoying presence just a few feet behind me. It was the woman again! I looked, and her mouth was moving and but no sound was coming out. She was mouthing to me “you are in rebellion” and I laughed at her. She was  frantic and angry as she was trying to yell at me! I could hear nothing but the voice of My Father beckoning me still–deeper and further.

She fled back to the pastor in the field. He became dark as he listened to her and began to misunderstand what The Father was doing. He dropped his head in disappointment. He felt alone and noticed the people who were left in the meadow were very few. I, at that moment stopped. I was very grieved for him and prayed him to come into the wilderness with The Father as well.

The Fourth Stone

The Father’s joy and love overcame my heavy heart as He drew me to the slight outline of a fourth stepping stone. This stone was completely covered with approximately  an inch of red clay. I, again on my knees, took the new tools in my hand and began to uncover this fourth stone. It took a little longer than the others but was still enjoyable and exciting. Then The Father stood beside me, and the shadow of His presence covered me as I was on my knees looking at the stones and realizing how far away from the field I was. I realized that the walls of the river bed where almost taller than I. Suddenly I felt entirely alone with Him, and it was wonderful but at the same time I wondered if I was too far away. It seemed to be getting dark in the forest. I knew He was with me, but I realized that all this time I thought I was going back to the field eventually. Just as these questions started creeping into my mind, The Father showed me that He had lead me away. I knew I was not going back. He had called me out from the crowd. I didn’t just wander as a little child would curiously wander away from home. He beckoned me with His presence!I stood upon on the fourth stone and did not look back any longer. The woman did not and could not come past the third stone, and I no longer was aware of her or the pastor in the meadow. I was focused entirely on The Father, and I knew that there was a fifth stone.

The Fifth Stone and The Clogged Pipe

I instinctively calculated the distance that separated the past four stepping stones and knelt down. As I hit my knees the tools I needed to uncover the fifth and final stone were in my hand and placed on the ground beside me. This one took the longest to reveal. It was not a tedious job, but a focused job– for the reality had set in that I was on a mission from my Father. I completely uncovered that fifth stepping stone, and it was perfect! Not a bit of damage from the years of being hidden. It was flawless! And just as the fifth stone was completely visible and clean I, still on my knees, looked and in front of my face was a pipe sticking out from the edge of the river bed. The depth of the river bed was now just over my head. And suddenly in my hand appeared a steel pipe cleaner. I extended my arm to the pipe with the cleaner and with one stroke the dry, hard, red clay came out!

The Out-Pouring, The Platform, and The Tent

Water began to rush out as if it had been building with great pressure. It was as though it was waiting for that one stroke to clean out the pipe! Just then under my feet was a very very broad platform and over my head was a very very full tent. The river was full and flowing under the “platform”, and rain was pouring down all around!

The Dance of All Dances

All around me were people dancing and spinning about on the platform. They had followed along from the meadow as I was uncovering the stones trailing the path through the dry river bed! They were the ones who had left the field and gone into the wilderness after me. The entire time I had no idea that others were following my lead! The whole journey I  thought that  I was alone with ‘My Daddy’ on this adventure!

Seven years ago The Lord gave me this dream and has been revealing layer by layer the powerful interpretation. There are many of us that have been on this journey!  The Five-fold ministry is being uncovered in this emerging move of God. We are crossing over into the promise of all promises!   He has been drawing us and beckoning us deeper; to go away with Him and enjoy the journey of the revelation of His heart! In the next weeks, I will dissect the Word of the Lord revealed in this dream…. To be continued!
